Full details, dimensions & care
Will it fit my car?

One size: 137 × 147 cm (53.9 × 57.8 in). There is no large or small.

137 cm across covers the rear bench of most sedans and crossovers edge to edge. On a wide full-size SUV or a three-seat truck bench you may have a few centimetres uncovered at each end — it still works, it just doesn't quite reach the outer edges.

Measure your bench from door sill to door sill. Not sure? Email us your year, make and model and we'll tell you straight, including if the answer is no.

Shipping, returns & warranty

United States & Canada. Free shipping on every order, dispatched within one business day, typically delivered in 3–7 business days. It ships from a warehouse inside your own country, so there is no customs charge on arrival.

Everywhere else. We do ship to much of Europe, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and parts of Asia. Delivery takes longer, and your own country's import duty or tax may apply when it arrives. That part is genuinely out of our hands, and we would rather tell you now than after you have paid.

Returns. Thirty days for a full refund — used, washed or filthy, it does not matter. Warranty. Two years covering stitching, straps, buckles and the zip.

Is my dog safe on it?

There are openings for the seat-belt buckles, so you can clip a harness in through the cover. Be clear about what this is though: it is a surface protector, not a crash-tested restraint. It does not replace a harness or a crate, and we won't pretend otherwise.

THE PROBLEM

Seat covers protect the seat. Dogs don’t stay on the seat.

The bench is the part everybody covers, and it takes the least damage of anything back there. Everything expensive sits just outside it.

The door cards

Both front paws land on the door panel getting in and getting out. Wet fur, grit and claws, on a panel that costs hundreds to refinish.

The seat backs

Every corner, every stop, every time they stand up to see what you’re doing. A bench cover doesn’t reach any of it.

The footwell

Whatever misses the bench lands in the carpet, sits there, and announces itself a week later.

So this one was cut to reach all four.

COVERAGE

Where the fabric actually reaches.

Almost every dog seat cover is the same quilted waterproof polyester. What separates them is where they stop.

  • 1The bench137 cm across
  • 2The footwell38 cm flap over the well
  • 3Both door cards47 cm flaps, each side
  • 4The seat backsFull panel, over the headrests
  • 5Mesh window33 cm — your dog can still see you

A basic bench cover reaches 1. A standard hammock reaches 1 and 2.

TWO MODES

One zip, and the back seat is a back seat again.

You don’t have to choose between a protected car and somewhere for people to sit. The centre zip switches it in a few seconds, without taking anything out.

DOG MODE

Full hammock

Across the whole bench, down the 38 cm footwell flap and up behind your front seats. Nothing underneath is exposed.

PASSENGER MODE

Half bench

Unzip the middle and fold the rear half back. Someone sits on a clean seat, and the half your dog uses stays covered.

Both modes use the same headrest straps. Nothing comes out of the car to switch between them.

THE DIFFERENCE

The same drive, twice.

Without it

  • Hair worked so far into the weave that the vacuum stops touching it
  • A paw print on the door card that never quite comes off the plastic
  • Wet-dog smell living in the carpet of the footwell for a week
  • Towels on the seat that slide off in the first corner
  • “Not in my car” every time someone suggests bringing the dog

With it

  • Shake it out at the door, wipe it down, done
  • Door cards, sills and seat backs never get touched
  • Machine wash cold when a beach day gets the better of it
  • Headrest straps and seat anchors hold it flat under a moving dog
  • The dog comes. That was the whole point of the dog.

FITTING IT

Two minutes the first time. Thirty seconds after that.

01

Strap it over the headrests

Front and rear straps, adjustable. No tools, no adhesive, nothing permanent.

02

Drop the footwell flap

The 38 cm flap hangs down over the well and tucks against the back of your front seats.

03

Fold the side flaps over the sills

Both doors covered. Door handles and window switches stay reachable.

04

Anchor it and go

The seat anchors pull the base flat so it stops shifting under a moving dog.

REVIEWS

No reviews yet. We're not going to invent any.

Novrae launched this year. Plenty of stores in this category fill a space like this with five stars from people who don't exist, and you would have no way of telling the difference. So it stays empty until real customers put something in it.

Until then, the thirty-day window does the job reviews would. Use it with your actual dog on an actual muddy day. If it doesn't hold up, send it back used and we refund it. That is the entire risk, and it sits with us rather than you.

BEFORE YOU BUY

The questions people actually ask.

Is there a hard bottom under the footwell?

Yes. The footwell section has a hard bottom, so it holds its shape instead of sagging when your dog stands or steps down into it. That is the part most hammock-style covers leave as loose fabric. It is still a surface protector, not a crash-tested restraint — keep using a harness.

Is there more than one size?

No. One size only: 137 × 147 cm (53.9 × 57.8 in). We don't make a large or a small, so there is nothing to choose and nothing to get wrong. The only choice on this page is how many you want.

Can a person still sit in the back?

Yes. Unzip the middle, fold the rear half back over the bench, and one or two people can sit down with the seat still protected. You don't have to take the whole thing out.

What is the mesh window actually for?

Two things. Your dog can see you, which settles a lot of dogs that bark or whine behind a solid cover. And air moves front to back instead of stopping at a wall of polyester — which matters more than people expect in summer.

Will it damage leather seats?

No. The backing is non-abrasive and the cover sits over the whole seat rather than rubbing one spot, so leather is shielded rather than scuffed.

How do I clean it?

Let it dry, knock the loose dirt off, wipe it down. For anything worse, unhook it and machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, then hang it to dry. Don't tumble dry it — heat is what kills the waterproof layer.

What if my dog hates it?

Some dogs take a week to settle on a new surface and a few never do. Send it back inside 30 days in whatever state it's in and we'll refund it. That is exactly what the window is for.

Bring the dog. Keep the car.

Free shipping, and thirty days to try it on a genuinely muddy day. If it doesn’t earn its place, send it back used.
